This was Nora’s very first visit. It was already almost the end of winter and we had a nice time exploring mall areas, markets, beaches as well as the famous Gamcheon Cultural Village. We even took the Hop On Hop Off bus to have a general view of many places in Busan.

We continued spending time at the beach whenever Nora is in town. The open space, sea and the happy beach goers create the ideal place to relax.
However, one of the highlights was our mountain hike! We noticed that many locals here especially the elderlies seem to do hiking as a frequent activity. It’s so amazing to see how fit the local elderlies here are and their ability to hike up the mountain so effortlessly!
We took advantage of the good weather to hike up the mountain overlooking Busan. Since it was our first hiking experience, together, we were surprised that we even managed to reach the peak! Wow what an experience! We are still so proud of ourselves even to this day!
Tues 26, November 2019 to Sun 01 January, 2020
It was winter time on this trip. Though it was cold and chilly at times, our days together were jam packed with dining, going to malls, discovering new places on the ocean front and various trendy districts of town to soak in the end of year festive mood.
Several new places we discovered, with the help of David’s kind friend, CheonSeok, was a fascinating traditional temple site with beautiful traditional structures, shrines and carvings. After which, he also brought us for a short trip to the ski mountain resort which we were so curious about. Thank you, CheonSeok!
On other days, we spent time at Busan Tower for a bird’s eye view of Busan, and also experiencing a public hot spring footbath. Besides, we also enjoyed the night time festive decorations and displays by the beach at the end of the year. Not forgetting, the celebration of our very first anniversary of the first day we met on 08 August, with a romantic dinner at PF Chang Restaurant in Centum City!
